Ponds at Newlands Park, Cusworth

The Parish Council in conjunction with Cusworth Hall and the Woodland Trust are in the process of restoring two ponds on Newlands Park (adjacent to the access at Gamekeepers Cottage) as part of a national project to restore habitats for Great Crested Newts. Defibrillator - Melton Road/ Ingleborough Drive

Defibrillator - Melton Road/ Ingleborough Drive

The Parish Council now own the phone box on Melton Road at the junction of Ingleborough Drive. A defibrillator will soon be available for the community to use if required. The phone box has been restored with new glass and stickers and the defib has been installed. Once registered it will be available for use. Use of the Goldsmith Centre

The Parish Council is offering the use of the Goldsmith Centre to households/ support bubbles during the coming months to provide an alternative Covid safe location for children to play, practice dancing, use the stage etc. This will be on an hourly basis subject to availability at a reduced charge of £5 per hour. Newlands Park - access - Update

Residents may be aware the bollards that were installed by Doncaster Council at the Gamkeeper's Cottage and Trans Pennine Trail entrances to Newlands Park have been vandalised before the concrete had even had chance to set. New whips planted at Anchorage Park

New whips planted at Anchorage Park

The Parish Council were successful in obtaining a free tree pack of 30 whips from the Woodland Trust which have been planted on land behind the Skate Park at Anchorage Park. As they are small whips tubing has been placed around them to help them establish. The trees are rowan, silver birch and wild cherry which will provide a small copse at the site.
