Lamp Post Poppy Campaign 2023
A BIG 'Thank you' to all residents and businesses in Sprotbrough and Cusworth for donating to the Sprotbrough and Cusworth 'Lamp Post Poppies' campaign for 2023.
A total of £1000.00 has been raised which is brilliant.
All money raised has been used to purchase 200 large poppies from the Royal British Legion which supports any veteran or their family that are living with difficulties.
Not only will this be a touching tribute to our brave service men and women but also, Sprotbrough and Cusworth residents/businesses will raise money for the Poppy Appeal charity.
The Parish Council with the help of members of the Don Gorge Community Group will install the poppies along Sprotbrough Road/ Melton Road/ Thorpe Lane/ Main Street in Sprotbrough and Cusworth Lane in Cusworth. The poppies can then be used and added to in subsequent years.
